Kelly Purkey: August Release

I’ve made it my goal to continue working on my PEC travellers album + Palm Springs travellers notebook this summer and while they aren’t done, they’re on their way! The travellers notebook kits by Kelly Purkey are always a hit and an easy way to get creative and bang out a couple pages in my albums.

First up, August’s release included a great kit called Take Care which inspired this layout.

I used the papers from the Take Care kit for this layout. On the left I added a little stamping over the ‘my story’ that was printed on the card – ‘it’s ok to take a break’ from the Take Care stamp. At the bottom I added the ‘no bad vibes only good ones around here’ from the Take Care stamp set & ‘Today is a good day’ from the Today is stamp set. I added a few lines for my journaling and enamel dots as well.

On the right, I used some scrap paper for my photo mat and added a couple 2 by 2 photos, including a little flip up. I added ‘self/care’ from the Take Care stamp set and a little sticker + a few enamel dots.

For my second layout, I used paper from the Take Care travellers notebook kit. I trimmed and tore a larger piece of the travellers notebook paper for my photo mat section.

For this layout I included a bunch of photos of our day touring the county – drinking wine, visiting lavender fields and llamas. I included lots of the At The Vineyard stamps for this layout including the wine glasses, the ‘wine tasting’ and the ‘red, white…’ stamp.

I created my title using the Roosevelt alpha stamp set for ‘PEC’, overlaying a little yellow velum and adding a few pink enamel dots.

Lastly, I knocked out another extra layout for my Palm Springs travellers album. More travellers notebook paper + a little journaling card action for this one.

On the left, I added ‘cheers’ for my title using the Roosevelt alpha set. I stapled and washi taped the ‘today is a great day’ card from the Yes kit, tearing it at the bottom. I added a few enamel dots + a couple lines fo journaling.

On the right, I added four photos, sticking a little circle sticker in the centre from the August label stickers. I also added the ‘yes, yes, & yes’ stamp from the Yes kit. I added a couple staples + an enamel dot and some washi tape across the top.

Another great month of kits + stamps. Every month is so good. If you want to always be sure to grab the kits make sure you sign up for a monthly subscription! It’s the best way to make sure you get the awesomeness that comes out every month!
